Harvest-Fest-2013-poster-8_1-2x11Niagara County, NY

From September 20th to the 22nd, the wineries of the Niagara Wine Trail will celebrate the beginning of the harvest season with their annual Harvest Fest Weekend event. One of the most popular events for the trail, wine and food pairings will be featured at each participating winery.

Each participating winery has selected an item from a local food vendor to pair with their wines. Many of wineries will be paring wine with seasonal favorites such as harvest-theme breads, fruits, desserts and produce. From sweet, to savory and spicy there is something to delight every palate. Some of the pairings and festivities include:
• Schulze Vineyards wine paired with The Wilson House’s Butternut Squash Ricotta Sage Crostini, which features Lakefront Roasted Olive Oil. Schulze will also feature Live music by VARUNA on Saturday 9/21 from 2PM-5PM on their patio, and Winslow’s Choice jam, oatmeal, cranberry and raisin cookies.
