Niagara County, NY – In anticipation of the Niagara Wine Trail Taste of the Trail event in April, for the month of March various wineries along the trail be hosting “Sips and Soups Sundays.”
Each Sunday, March 6th, 13th and 20th, participating wineries will pair a soup with a featured wine, cider or mead.
A sample of the winery’s chosen soup is included with their tasting fee, which ranges from $2-5. The complete list of wineries participating each week and their pairing will be posted on the wine trail website, in that week’s email newsletter, and on social media.
March’s theme will be promoted using the hashtag #SipsandSoups. The trail encourages customers to use the hashtag in posts to share their own favorite “Sips and Soups” throughout the month.
Tastings on Sundays are from Noon – 5pm. Reservations are recommended for groups of 6 or more. Soup samples are available in limited supply, so patrons are encouraged to come early.
Each month in 2016 the wine trail is promoting history, pairings, recipes, specials, and other tips along with featured wines, ciders and/or meads for the season in the email newsletter and on social media.
The remaining months of 2016 will have the following themes:
  • April: NY Wine Month: awards winning wines
  • May: Spring Libations
  • June: Summer Vacation Sips
  • July: Festival Favorites
  • August: Sips and Dips
