Niagara County, NY – June is National Dairy Month and the Niagara Wine Trail is kicking the month off with Yancey’s Fancy New York Artisan Cheeses. This year’s annual Wine and Cheese Weekend will be held June 4th and 5th.

Pre-sale tickets for the event may be purchased online until June 2nd at 9pm for $22/per person. Remaining tickets will be sold at the wineries for $27/person during the event.

Each ticket is valid for wine tasting on both days of the event and includes a commemorative wine glass from the starting winery, and tastings of 3 wines and a cheese sample at 10 wineries of the attendee’s choice. The event runs Saturday from 10am-5pm, and Sunday 12pm-5pm.
Guests can expect to try wine and cheese pairings such as Bergenost triple cream Norwegian Cheese at Schulze Vineyards & Winery paired with Siegfried, Riesling, or Catawba wines. Leonard Oakes Estate Winery will be featuring their Reserve Chardonnay with XXX-Sharp Cheddar – Yellow (aged 18 months), and Long Cliff Vineyards and Winery will be pairing Yancey’s famous Steakhouse Onion Cheddar paired with 2012 Pinot Noir.

As a reminder, ticket prices do not include transportation. Guests touring by bus or limo, regardless of size, should call the wineries in advance to make an appointment to alleviate congestion during this popular event. A valid photo ID with proof of age is required to participate in any wine tasting.
