Niagara County, NY – The Niagara Wine Trail USA is currently accepting applications for “Partner Businesses” to be listed in their upcoming 2017 brochure and website.

In the past, paid business and organization listings on the website and brochure were called “Associate Members.” The change in designation is due to several factors, as explained by Executive Director, Cate Banks.

“Part of the wine trail’s mission is to promote local businesses – like our very own member wineries – and drive visitors to the wine trail.” Cate says that describing these local listings as Partner Businesses now is “a call to action for our guests to extend their stay and discover the other local treasures of our area. Bringing visitors to experience the wine trail isn’t just about wine tasting, it’s about keeping them in our area and growing our regional economy.”

Each month thousands of visitors find their way onto the wine trail’s website seeking to get more information on the local wineries, find events, and plan their outing. Whether you are a local Western New Yorker, or visiting from out of the area, the “Plan Your Trip” section on the website and in the brochure can be a wealth of information.

“We have broken down this section into several categories,” says Media Director, Elizabeth Maute. “This section on our website continues to be one of the top five visited areas each month. Many locals will even pick up our print brochures and keep them for the year so they have a quick reference guide on hand, and to help plot their trip using the wine trial map.”

In 2016 the wine trail distributed over 100,000 brochures, and had thousands of downloads and views for the digital version. Print brochures can be found in local businesses and hotels throughout WNY, in tourism centers in Binghamton, Syracuse and Rochester along the thruway, and they were placed in and around the Cleveland area during the Republican National Convention this past summer. The Niagara Tourism and Convention Corporation also carries the brochure in the Niagara Falls Welcome Center. The trail hopes to expand this distribution in 2017 to more areas in Pennsylvania and Ohio.

A “Full Partner Business Membership” for 2017 includes a listing in the brochure and on the website with the business or organization’s contact info and a 100-word description. Partial memberships are also available for businesses looking for just a digital listing. All website listings also include the placement of a logo or a brand photo and a link back to a respective website and/or social media network. In addition to Partner Business Memberships, advertising space is also available in the brochure and on the trail’s website.

Applications for the 2017 Partner Memberships may be downloaded from the trail’s website (2017-brochure_form). Payments and applications are being accepted now, but a late fee will apply to listings purchased after November 15, 2016. All listings and advertising content will be due December 1st, 2016.
