Schwenk Wine Cellars blends their family grown grapes and other fruits into heirloom recipe wines that are bottled on premises. Although the winery is a newcomer to the Niagara Wine Trail, they originally opened for business in 1983. In the vineyards, grapes are grown such as Cayuga, Baco, Concord, and others on their farm in Orleans County. Schwenk offers travelers on the Niagara Wine Trail the chance to taste award-winning wines such as their Dry Riesling, Baco Noir, Stone Bottom Cayuga, and a holiday favorite called “Santa’s Secret,” among others.

Schwenk Wine Cellars offers a cozy tasting room, which is open year round for wine tasting January-March, Saturday and Sunday 12 PM-5 PM; April-May, Thursday and Friday 2 PM-5 PM, and Saturday and Sunday 12 PM–5 PM; and June-December, Wednesday-Sunday 12 PM-5 PM, or other days by appointment. An expansion of the current tasting room is planned to accommodate larger groups and events this coming year.
