Cheer the Holidays on the Niagara Wine Trail

with the Annual Holiday Happening event

holiday-2013-iconNiagara County, NY – The wineries of the Niagara Wine Trail are celebrating the holiday season with their annual Holiday Happening event. The two-weekend Holiday Happening will take place December 6th-8th and December 13-15th.

Tickets are limited for the event and include 3 tastes of wine at each of the 19 participating wineries, a collectable wine glass from the starting location and a different Nutcracker Ballet ornament at each winery (one ornament per couple). Transportation is not included. Hours both weekends are Friday Noon–5 PM, Saturday 10 AM–5 PM and Sunday Noon–5 PM.

Attendees are encouraged to purchase online in advance until December 5th at the price of $40/single or $70/couple. Tickets for this popular event are valid for both weekends, so attendees may have a chance to visit each winery, collect their ornaments and even complete some local holiday shopping.

Day-of-event tickets will only be available at the rate of $45/single or $80/couple if the event does not sell out during advance online sales. For more information, and a full list of participating wineries and ornaments, or to reserve your tickets, visit www.NiagaraWineTrail.org.

Celebrate Spring with Mom, May 10-12, 2013: Wine Trail Blossoms and Wine Tourism Day

Collectable wine charms and charm holder

The Niagara Wine Trail will hold its annual “Wine Trail Blossoms” event May 10-12th to celebrate the 11th anniversary of the trail’s founding and the addition of their 17th winery member. As a special gift, ticket holders will receive a locally made, collectable wooden wine charm from each of the seventeen wineries.

 

The Wine Trail Blossoms event is being held in conjunction with the first ever Wine Tourism Day in North America, Saturday May 11th. Many of the Niagara Wine Trail wineries will be holding special promotions and additional events at their wineries in conjunction with the trail event and Wine Tourism Day. Pre-sale tickets for Wine Trail Blossoms are limited to 500, and can be purchased online for $40/single and $70/couple until May 9th. Tickets include a tasting of 3 wines and wine charm at each of the seventeen participating wineries, and a commemorative wine glass and charm holder from your starting winery.  The event hours are Friday 12pm-5pm, Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 12pm-5pm.

 

Wine Trail Blossoms event tickets are valid for all three days of the event, so patrons may take advantage of spreading their tastings over the weekend. Event attendees are welcome to visit different wineries each day in any order they choose. As a reminder, tickets do not include transportation. A valid photo ID with proof of age is also required to participate in wine tasting.
